Behavioral Health Program Assistant
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Contract – Permanent $24.00 hourly – 55K
o Cover main reception area, as assigned (example: receiving and directing guests and clients, logging in intakes, answering and directing calls from multiline phone system).
o Register new clients in program, as assigned (example: Diversion/TAP Program).
o Check in and out clients for assigned group sessions (example: schedule clients, document number of group sessions attended, manage sign-in sheets, make calls to No Shows).
o Assist behavioral health department with scheduling, filing, scanning, and copying, as assigned.
o Keep Behavioral Health data systems up to date (example: updating client information on roster and in data system, collateral contact information, insurance information).

o Screen calls from private clients to obtain contact information and reason for call. Provide information to supervisor, who will follow up call, as appropriate.
o Monitor reception area while groups are in session.
o Make follow-up contacts with referral agency when referral information is incomplete, as requested by supervisor. Document contacts on form/system provided.
o Other duties as assigned.
Hours of Work: Regular 40 hour week. May require evening hours up to 6pm
Qualification: High school diploma or equivalent. Must be well organized, work well with people from diverse backgrounds, have excellent communication skills, and proficient with basic computer skills and with data entry in electronic data systems. Well experienced with general office procedures, handling a multiline telephone system, and interacting with the public. This person is the face of the organization.
