RESPONSIBILITIES:

Contract - Permanent $24.00 hourly - 55K

o Keep Behavioral Health data systems up to date (example: updating client information on roster and in data system, collateral contact information, insurance information).

o Other duties as assigned.


Hours of Work: Regular 40 hour week. May require evening hours up to 6pm
Qualification: High school diploma or equivalent. Must be well organized, work well with people from diverse backgrounds, have excellent communication skills, and proficient with basic computer skills and with data entry in electronic data systems. Well experienced with general office procedures, handling a multiline telephone system, and interacting with the public. This person is the face of the organization.

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for working with individuals to promote optimum mental health and address behavioral health and physical health issues of service population. Specifically, working with children, adolescents, adults or family groups to provide individualized treatment in dealing with addictions and substance abuse; family, parenting, and marital problems; suicide; stress management; problems with self-esteem; and issues associated with mental, emotional and physical health. The RN is responsible for serving as an Outpatient Registered Nurse and providing psychiatric nursing services in accordance with the Mental Health Rehabilitation Standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides professional services per Individualized Recovery Plans or Treatment Plans
  • Responsible for participating as a member of the clinic service team in treatment planning and implementation of the treatment plan

POSITION SUMMARY

The Clinical Manager provides essential leadership and supervision to clinical staff within our mental health programs. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Position Summary

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for all aspects of the financial operations for the agency. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the CFO provides accounting, budgetary, operational, and programmatic support to all agency programs and activities. The CFO directly oversees and supervises the financial/accounting staff and other departments as directed by the CEO. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Actively manage the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of the agency.

Qualifications

  • Graduate degree from an accredited college or university; Certified Public Accountant a plus.
  • Three to five years of senior management experience with an organization with operations more than $5 million per year and over 100 employees in the health care sector, preferably with a non-profit agency.
  • Managerial experience with non-profit behavioral health and/or health care agency providing services under contract with the District of Columbia a plus.
  • Must be able to commute to Washington, DC on a weekly basis

Knowledge of the following:

Job Description/Summary

The Psychiatrist/Medical Doctor (MD) will be responsible for seeing the caseload assigned to them, particularly those with a mental health diagnosis(es). Consumers may also have a co-occurring diagnosis of Intellectual Disorder (IDD) and/or Substance Use Disorder (SUD).  MD will be responsible for all aspects of Medication Management, any supervision of other medical professionals such as Nurse Practitioners, Physician’s Assistant, etc. if outlined in the contract and a part of the agreement upon hiring. MD will monitor symptoms of consumers for whom they are seeing, educate on diagnosis, provide education on the purpose of prescribed medications, order and analyze Urine Screenings or other labs as necessary. MD will collaborate with other providers as necessary and see all consumers assigned to them according to clinical and medical necessity. MD will also review and sign off on Diagnostic Assessments and Person-Centered Plans.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Diagnosis
    • Responsible for Psychiatric Evaluation of new patients
    • Review and signing of Diagnostic Assessments completed by Licensed Clinician as well as the patient’s Person-Centered Plan
    • Educate patients on their diagnosis(es) as necessary
    • Diagnoses and ICD codes should be based on the most current version of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual
  2. Treatment Planning
    • After initial Psychiatric Evaluation, MD will devise a medication management treatment plan according to the patients’ diagnosis/es, symptoms, while considering other factors such as substance use, allergies to any medications, etc.
    • MD will also become familiar with other services the patient may be receiving such as Outpatient Therapy, Peer Support Services, Community Support Team, ACTT, etc. as a part of his/her treatment plan
    • Monitor the treatment plan and how the patient is progressing or regressing and make adjustments to the plan as necessary
  3. Medication Management
    • Order and analyze Labortory screenings as deemed medically necessary such as Complete Blood Counts (CBCs), Comprehensive Metabolic Panels (CMPs), thyroid function tests (TSH), vitamin B12/folate levels and urine drug screens, etc. to check for underlying medical conditions that may mimic psychiatric conditions, monitor medication side effects and screen for substance use.
  4. Document Service note/log for each session completed with a consumer and the outcome of the session/medications prescribed, etc.
    • Write prescriptions based on the treatment plan and best course of practice for the patients on caseload
    • Educate patients on the purpose of the medications being prescribed and how to take them. Communicate with Guardians and Group Home staff if applicable.
    • Adjust medications as necessary based on symptoms
  5. Patient Monitoring
    • Monitor patients based on medical necessity and schedule visits accordingly to help monitor symptoms and how medication is doing
    • Collaborate with other providers to receive feedback regarding how patients are doing
    • Revise treatment plan based on patient monitoring
  6. Crisis Intervention
    • Sometimes light crisis intervention may be necessary for patients and may be needed directly from the Psychiatrist is considered a First Responder in the state of North Carolina. However, it is also important to note that we have other teams and services that readily respond to the patients’ crises. The Psychiatrist may need to direct the staff and/or team through a crisis, especially if it relates to their medications.
    • Admittance or referral for hospitalization may be necessary at times
  7. Collaboration
    • Psychiatrist will be responsible for collaborating with other Providers whom may work with or give care to patients
    • Psychiatrist will need to work with Guardians for those patients whom have them
    • Psychiatrist will need to review medical records for collaboration of care with Primary Care Physician
  8. Documentation
    • Responsible for all paperwork related to consumer’s care that falls under the MD’s/MD responsibilities
    • Complete a service note/log after each patient visit detailing what transpired during the session and what medications (if any) were prescribed and/or discharged
    • Documentation will be completed in accordance with all Federal and State rules and regulations
    • Documentation will be completed in a timely manner and charted in the patients’ files by the end of the day of that shift
  9. Supervision (if agreed on in contract)
  • Review and sign off on Diagnostic Assessments and Person-Centered Plans
  • Supervision of other medical professionals such as Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, etc. as necessary

Outpatient Therapist – LCSW/A, LCMHC/A, LP/A

Job Description/Summary

The Licensed Professional (hereinto referred to as LP) will be responsible for seeing the caseload assigned to them, particularly those with a substance abuse diagnosis(es). LP will be responsible for therapy sessions for consumers on their caseload, delivering substance abuse therapy to the consumers, utilizing evidenced-based practices, and making recommendations as necessary. LP will develop a treatment plan or Person-Centered Plan with the consumer for goals to address during therapy. LP may also be responsible for completing Comprehensive Clinical Assessments and/or Diagnostic Assessments and Addendums.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for all paperwork related to consumer’s care that falls under the LP’s/LP responsibilities
  • Review all consumer’s PCPs/treatment plan on a quarterly basis
  • Collaborate with Clinician’s and/or other Clinical Care staff regarding consumer’s and how treatment is going with consumers
  • Knowledge of various treatment modalities that will be most effective for the  consumers on caseload
  • Knowledgeable regarding Evidenced-Based Practices and modalities
  • Be familiar with various mental health and substance abuse diagnoses and symptoms
  • Be knowledgeable about how the Assessment “drives” the remainder of services, recommendations for treatment and treatment goals and how this relates to the construction of the Person-Centered Plan/treatment plan
  • Document a Progress/Service note for each session completed with a consumer
  • Follow all State and Federal standards and requirements for Outpatient Therapy and documentation rules

  1. Provide direct care services/outpatient therapy to the consumers assigned to their caseload with a substance use diagnosis or mental health diagnosis
    • Provide appropriate interventions to their caseload of consumers for consumers identified as having a substance abuse diagnosis
  • Provide assertive engagement to appropriate consumers
  • Meet with consumers in the community, homes and offices, telehealth as needed to help meet the consumer where he/she is
  • Continually research resources within the community to provide these resources to our consumers Research interventions that will be helpful to consumers and included on their treatment plan
  • Randomly reach out to various consumers regarding their services and treatment
  • Understand how services can always be delivered more efficiently and effectively to consumers
  • Coordinate care with other providers such as Psychiatrists, Primary Care Physicians, Nurse Practitioners or other SA/MH programs that they may be involved in

  • On call rotation with crisis phone
  • LP will staff cases, assist with resources and interventions within the scope of his/her role but not beyond

Seeking to hire a part-time licensed, contractual therapist to provide individual and family therapy. This is an independent, 1099-contractor position and requires a minimum of 10 hours per week of direct client contact, with considerable room to grow (up to full-time, if desired).
